Il San Pietro Hotel in Positano run by GM/owner Vito Cinque is a favorite for those seeking peace and tranquility minutes from the action in Positano. The best suite to book is the 1000-square-foot Suite 23 with its spectacular corner terrace facing Positano. The suite itself was recently renovated, but the bathroom (inspired by a Greek tomb in the ancient city of Paestum) remains unchanged. With its position in the sun throughout the day and a fresh, white-and-blue interiors decorated with modern art, this is one of the most fascinating (and frequently booked) suites at Il San Pietro.

The hotel offers two top suites, each with two bedrooms, nestled above the Champagne Bar in the hotel’s central villa located in the original part of the Sersale family house. These suites span the length of the villa with three sets of French doors opening onto large outdoor terraces, breathtaking views and gentle sea breezes. We love the light and airy vibe with whitewashed walls, vaulted ceilings and the décor highlighted by beautiful handmade Vietri tiles with a pattern designed by Franco Sersale, Antonio’s father and the founder of Le Sirenuse.
Just down the coast in beautiful, charming Amalfi, Hotel Santa Caterina offers the region’s best “honeymoon” suite, which is actually also fantastic for a family or anyone wanting to stay at sea level surrounded by the hotel’s own lemon and orange groves.
